C'garh teen arrested for hacking model's email, FB account

A teenager from Chhattishgarh was today apprehended here for allegedly hacking the email and social media accounts of an aspiring model last month, police said.
Cyber crime police of Cyberabad tracked down the 17-year- old boy to Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh.
On May 5, a 23-year-old city-based aspiring model had received alerts on her another email ID that there was a suspicious log-in at her Gmail, Facebook and iCloud accounts.
She could regain the access to these accounts, but two weeks later, she found that her private pictures and a video clip had been sent through WhatsApp from a stranger's number.

The cyber crime police started the probe which found that the amateur hacker had obtained the woman's user ID and password for Facebook by sending her a phishing message.
As she used the same user ID and password for Gmail and iCloud, he could hack them too.
The boy had been sent to a juvenile home twice earlier for similar offences targetting two models in Maharashtra, police said, adding that further probe is on.
