Cab driver shot dead in UP

A cab driver was allegedly shot dead by three people in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, police said Sunday.

After allegedly killing Azim (23) and throwing his body in Bhenwal village on Friday evening, two of the accused persons -- Shivam and Arav Prakash -- tried to flee in the cab but were nabbed by police, SHO of the Gharipukhta police station Vijay Kumar said.

A case was registered against the three men and police are searching for the third accused, he said.

Azim was getting married next month, he added.
