Camp to distribute aids, appliances to disabled in Haryana

The Haryana Red Cross Society and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) will organise a camp in Jhajjar to distribute aids and appliances to over thousand physically challenged people.
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar would be the chief guest in the function, which would be held at the Jahanara Bagh Stadium in the district, an official spokesperson said.
Aids and appliances to be distributed at the camp would include 215 automatic tricycles, seven automatic wheelchairs and 108 smart phones, he said.
The minister said that an exhibition of various schemes being run by different government departments for the physically challenged persons would also be organised on the occasion.
