Irrfan, 49, stands among the Indian film actors, who are recognised for their work globally, courtesy his performances in films like "The Namesake", "Life of Pi" and "The Lunchbox".
He last starred in 2015 hit "Jurassic World" and recently lent voice in Hindi version of Jon Favreau's "The Jungle Book". The actor will be now seen in Tom Hanks-starrer "Inferno".
When asked who she cannot wait to work with, Kaling said, "Irrfan Khan".
During the interview, the 36-year-old multi-talented star was asked what repulses her, to which Kaling replied, "Sexism", according to The Hollywood Reporter.
