Cardamom futures down 0.56% on profit-booking

Cardamom prices fell by 0.56 per cent to Rs 856.40 per kg in futures trading today as traders locked-in gains at prevailing higher levels amid fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July fell by Rs 4.80 or 0.56 per cent to Rs 856.40 per kg in a business turnover of 32 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in August eased by Rs 3 or 0.34 per cent to Rs 886 per kg in 11 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-taking by participants at existing level, decline in demand in spot market against adequate stocks position mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
