Cardamom falls by 2.1% on sluggish demand
Speculators reduced positions amid sluggish demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi Cardamom prices fell 2.10% to Rs 751 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced positions amid sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate supplies from producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November month declined by Rs 16.10, or 2.10%, to Rs 751 per kg in business turnover of 1 lots.
Analysts said off-loading of positions by speculators amidst sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
