Cardamom prices were down by 1.53 per cent to Rs 699.20 per kg amid profit-booking by participants and muted demand at domestic spot market in futures trading today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March fell by Rs 10.90, or 1.53 per cent to Rs 699.20 per kg in a business turnover of 374 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in April shed Rs 3.10, or 0.56 per cent to Rs 730.10 per kg in 27 lots.
Analysts said apart from profit-booking by speculators, easing demand in the spot markets against adequate stocks, mainly kept pressure on the cardamom prices at futures trade.
