Amid profit-booking by speculators and subdued spot demand, cardamom prices were down by 0.71 per cent to Rs 763 per kg in futures trade today.
Furthermore, adequate stocks position in the physical market also influenced the cardamom futures.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November fell Rs 5.50, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 763 per kg, in a business turnover of 266 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 2.20, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 786.70 per kg in 74 lots.
Marketmen said apart from profit-booking by speculators, sluggish demand in the spot markets, mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
