One of India's top models Carol Gracias made a stunning comeback to the runway after giving birth to a baby boy.
The 37-year-old supermodel walked the ramp for designer Gaurang Shah at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016. Carol's last ramp outing was also for Gaurang four months ago when she flaunted her baby bump.
"Walking the ramp is always exciting and coming back to everyone here is also fun. But I am missing my baby and husband a lot. They are in Goa.
"I have left my baby for the first time so every two seconds I want to go home or at least see a picture or video to check if he is all right. It's a little bit of anxiety which every mother goes through," Carol told PTI.
The former Bigg Boss contestant said she does not understand how working mothers leave their kids back home and concentrate on their job.
"I am enjoying being a mother. It tough to leave my one-month old at home. I don't understand how women go to office leaving their kids behind and are able to focus. I am here for two days and I just want to go back to my baby."
Carol feels for working mothers in India it's harder as compared to other parts of the world.
"I think every working woman in India has it hard after becoming a mother. I have a very supportive family, husband and in-laws. Indian women not only go out for the work, but their job is also to look after the kids and the home. They do everything. We are all-rounders."
She hopes that her breaking the norms by walking the ramp and returning soon will change the perception of the fashion industry.
"Motherhood should be celebrated. I hope me walking a ramp with a baby bump and coming back will bring change in the perception of people. Fashion is for everybody. Especially saree, it is something every Indian woman can wear," she said.
