Delhi Police has been directed by a court here to register an FIR against a woman for allegedly forging caste certificate to get admission in a college here.
The court observed that allegations against the woman disclose "commission of cognizable offences" and asked the police to file a compliance report by June 26.
"The complainant has alleged that accused woman has been using forged caste certificate and other documents. The allegation of complainant disclose commission of cognizable offences. In these circumstances, SHO PS Jaitpur is directed to register an FIR under relevant provisions of law," Metropolitan Magistrate Neha said.
The complaint was filed by Raj Babu who alleged that the woman has used forged caste certificate and other documents to secure admission at a Delhi University college.
In its order, the court noted that despite opportunities given to the police, it has not filed action taken report in the case.
In his complaint, Raj Babu has alleged that the woman and others "with the help of some dishonest government employees have succeeded in getting a false OBC certificate from a tehsildar in her favour".
He alleged that the woman got admission in the college on the basis of false certificate and she had given wrong residential address of Uttar Pradesh whereas she originally belongs to West Bengal and was residing in Delhi for the past three decades.
Babu claimed that initially he had given the complaint to the police but no action was taken and therefore he approached the court under relevant provisions of the law.
