At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, castorseed for the most-active September contracts fell by Rs 18, or 0.43 per cent to Rs 4,198 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,82,100 lots.
Similarly, castorseed for delivery in current months eased by Rs 9, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 4,160 per quintal, with an open interest of 2,960 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in export demand and weak trend overseas, mainly put pressure on castorseed prices at futures trade here.
