At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, castorseed for delivery in November month rose by Rs 51, or 1.19 per cent to Rs 4,326 per quintal, open interest stood of 96,630 lots.
In similar fashion, castroseed for delivery in current month added Rs 38, or 0.92 per cent to Rs 4,184 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,34,950 lots.
Marketmen said widening of positions by speculators, driven by firming trend at the spot markets on strong demand amid tight arrivals from growing regions, influenced castorseed prices at futures trade.
