"I see political problem behind these things....The politicians want to play with the nerve of the people to get more and more votes...Otherwise, it is very easy to solve this problem," she told reporters here.

Bharti, here as part of her 'Save Ganga' campaign, said there was no problem in solving the Cauvery issue and once water is treated as national property, the problem would be solved.

She parried a question on whether she would make any suggestion to BJP-led Karnataka Government on this issue.

Accusing the Karnataka Government of not releasing its share of Cauvery water, Tamil Nadu Government has moved the Supreme Court seeking convening of the Cauvery River Authority besides seeking the Centre's intervention.

To a query, the BJP leader said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had given her commitment to protect Ram Setu.

"...She was the one who supported that Ramu Setu should not be destroyed. I think she will remember her words," she said.

Bharti said the 'Save Ganga' movement would be taken up in three phases - a yatra from Gangasagar to Gangotri between September 20 to October 28, an environment experts' seminar in Delhi on November 6 and a public human chain on December 2 - for an uninterrupted, relentless, pollution-free Ganga.

"There should be no interruption in the flow. That created some kind of misunderstanding in Uttarakhand, because there is some new power projects there...We are not opposed to power generation or development of Uttarakhand. There should be one flow of Ganga, which is relentless and uninterrupted," she said.
