CBI arrests an accounts officer of CBDT for graft

CBI has arrested a senior accounts officer of Central Board of Direct Taxes on the charge of demanding and accepting bribe from a person for clearing his pending bills for providing cars on rental basis to the Income Tax Department.
Laxmikant Dudhe, posted in Mumbai, was arrested by CBI while he was receiving Rs 10,000 from a complainant.
"CBI laid a trap and the accused and another person, who accepted bribe on behalf of the accused public servant, were apprehended while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant in the official cabin of the accused," CBI spokesperson said here today.
Both the arrested accused were produced before the Special Judge, Mumbai, and were remanded to police custody upto March 4, the spokesperson said.
