CBI arrests Delhi Police SI in a bribery case

CBI has arrested a Sub-inspector of Delhi Police for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 70,000 from the brother of an accused to favour him in a case.
Tilak Singh Pal, posted at Nihal Vihar Police Station, was arrested last evening, CBI spokesperson said.
"A case was registered under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on the allegations that the Sub-Inspector of Police Station Nihal Vihar, Delhi Police, was demanding a bribe of Rs one lakh from the complainant for getting the bail of the complainant's brother in a case being investigated by him," CBI spokesperson said.
A trap was laid and the Sub-Inspector was caught while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 70,000 from the complainant, the spokesperson added.
