CBI raids addl Central Excise Commissioner's office

The CBI today raided the office of Additional Central Excise Commissioner Ali Akbar Tahirali in connection with disproportionate assets case here today.
The raid began in the morning and continued till late evening, CBI sources said.
Tahirali, according to an FIR lodged by CBI, is known to have possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The value of his assets exceeded Rs 1 crore, they said, adding, that the raids were conducted in Tahirali's office in Vadodara and at his residence in Daman.
