CBI was probing allegations that irregularities were committed by the said officials in the recruitment of 59 Group 'C' and 227 Group 'D' category employees.
After getting prima facie material to proceed, the agency has registered two cases, against Lieutenant Colonels Akhilesh Mishra, the then MTO, and Jagdish Bishnoi, the then catering officer (both posted at IMA, Dehradun), and Ambrish Tiwari, the then administrative officer at Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), along with unknown members of the selection board.
The agency has registered cases under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and for forgery and alleged criminal conspiracy to cheat.
Even though 34 candidates are suspected to have been selected on the basis of forged documents, CBI has named only 21 such in the FIR saying that the rest were being identified and would be mentioned in the charge sheet.
