A complaint filed by an individual had alleged that BPTP had imposed anti-competitive conditions in relation to a residential project in 'Amstoria' in Sector 102, Gurgaon district of Haryana.
In an order released today, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) said that BPTP did not appear to be in a dominant position and such case "the conduct need not to be examined under the provisions of ... The (Competition) Act".
The complaint filed against the company and its chairman had alleged that BPTP had shown an amount of Rs 22 lakh as outstanding towards additional preferential location charges in the Verification Report.
Despite raising the issue of additional preferential location charges, BPTP allegedly continued to pressurise him for the payment of the additional preferential location charges.
The company also alleged to have threatened him with dire consequences of termination of the buyers agreement and forfeiture of amount paid by the complainant.
