The complaint has been made by the All India Tyre Dealers Federation (AITDF).
The grouping has alleged that tyre makers have continued "to indiscriminately and arbitrarily" impose high tyre prices, it said in a statement.
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has asked the federation to appear before it on February 18.
Following a representation made by the federation, the Corporate Affairs Ministry had asked CCI to look into the complaint against alleged cartelisation by tyre makers.
"The indiscriminate and unfair tyre prices are hitting the general class of tyre traders and small transport operators, which is also affecting the road transport cost and in turn creating inflationary pressure in the economy," Singh said in the statement.
