After finding that the company is not a dominant position and there is enough competition in the relevant market - 'market for provision of international mobile data services in Mumbai' - the watchdog has rejected the complaint.
The complainant had alleged that the company charged exorbitant price for international mobile data services on roaming basis during his travel to Canada.
In a recent order, Competition Commission of India (CCI) said the relevant market in the instant case appears to be competitive and customers therein have choices.
CCI said no case of contravention of Section 4 of the Competition Act is made out against Vodafone India. Section 4 pertains to abuse of dominant position.
