The two-day ICN (International Competition Network) workshop would start here on December 1.
The theme of the workshop is 'international co-operation and remedies in merger review', according to an official statement.
There would be discussions on various issues including international merger enforcement co-operation, exchange of information (including waivers) in merger investigations of multi-jurisdictional filings and remedies in merger cases.
Competition Commission of India (CCI) has the mandate to keep a tab on unfair trade practices in the market place.
John Pecman, Commissioner, Canadian Competition Bureau, J Luebking, Head of Merger Division, European Union and Patty Brink from the US Department of Justice, are among those who are expected to participate in the workshop.
ICN provides competition authorities an informal platform for maintaining regular contacts and addressing practical competition concerns.
