CEC to visit Jharkhand

Chief Election Commissioner, V S Sampath will visit Jharkhand on March 30 to review the ongoing preparation for the ensuing parliamentary poll in naxal-affected areas.
Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, P K Jajoria said today that the CEC would arrive here on March 30 and hold a high-level review meeting with regard to the ongoing preparation for the three phase poll in the state.
He would also meet the leaders of recognised political parties followed by meeting with district returning officers and police officials.
Later, CEC would also hold discussions with Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and DGP.
Polling for the 14 parliamentary seats in Jharkhand will be held in three phases on March 10, 17 and 24.
