The 46-year-old star has cancelled all her upcoming shows till March next year and also her planned tour of Asia this autumn, according to her website.
A statement on the website said she had made the decision in order to focus 100 per cent of her attention on her husband and family.
"It has been a very difficult and stressful time for the couple as they deal with the day-to-day challenges of fighting this disease while trying to juggle a very active showbusiness schedule, and raise their three young children," the statement read.
It has not been made certain yet if and when will Dion make a comeback to the stage.
