The three-member team led by Uttam Kumar, Director, National Rural Roads Development Committee visited villages in Pokhran area yesterday and spoke to farmers. They also assessed the availability of water and fodder in the area.
"We have requested the team to get us maximum compensation for the losses we suffered due to hailstorm," said a farmer.
Jaisalmer MLA Chotu Singh Bhati apprised the team members of the situation in the villages like Loharki and Chhayan and sought relief.
He said the most affected arid regions like Jaisalmer and Barmer should get relaxation in norms while receiving relief package so that more and more farmers could be benefited.
