The Union Social Justice Minister reviewed PMAGY during the second meeting of the Central Advisory Committee here, according to a press release.
The meeting was organised to review the progress of implementation of PMAGY in 1,000 selected villages in five states, where PMAGY is being implemented, it said.
Presently the scheme is being implemented in Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu, selected from five geographical regions of the country.
From each state, except for Assam, 225 villages are being covered under the scheme. 100 villages have been selected in Assam, the release said.
