Century Plyboards posts Rs 19.73 cr profit for Q3

Leading plywood and veneer maker Century Plyboards has registered a net profit of 19.73 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 8.22 crore in the October-December period of the last fiscal.
Net sales of the company also increased to Rs 303.50 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 275.58 crore of the same period previous fiscal.
Revenues from plywood and allied products segment was Rs 233.45 crore this quarter as against Rs 198.97 crore in the same period last fiscal. While revenue from laminate and allied products declined to Rs 52.51 crore this quarter from Rs 55.33 crore in year-ago period.
Shares of Century Plyboards closed marginally down at Rs 23.70 on the BSE.
