Century Textiles Q4 net down 22% at Rs 9 cr

Century Textiles and Industries Ltd today reported a 22.43 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 9.16 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 11.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
Net sales fell to Rs 1,954.74 crore for the quarter from Rs 2,011.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
The company posted a net loss of Rs 54.52 crore for the fiscal compared with a net profit of Rs 15.49 crore a year ago.
Net sales for the financial year stood at Rs 7,652.47 crore compared with Rs 7,300.75 crore last year.

Meanwhile in a separate filing, the company said the board has recommended a dividend of Rs 5.50 for the year.
Scrip of Century Textiles today closed 4.20 per cent down at Rs 611.70 on BSE.
