Chain-snatcher held in Vizag

A suspected chain-snatcher was arrested today and gold ornaments of 235 gms were recovered from him, police said.
The accused, identified as M Maheshswara Rao (45), was allegedly involved in nine incidents of chain snatching in the last 18 months, said DCP (Crime) T Ravi Kumar Murthy.
He said Rao used to target mostly elderly women and those walking alone in isolated areas between 7-9 PM.
The DCP said Rao will go into hiding for about two months after committing each crime.
