"We have ongoing challenges in Pakistan and Afghanistan, around the world," Scott Walker told MSNBC.
It is one of those where strength begets strength, confidence begets confidence.
"Both in terms of Pakistan and Afghanistan, we talk all the time about ISIS and al Qaeda. We still have ongoing concerns about the Taliban and their ability to regain strength," Walker said in response to a question.
"We need to make sure that any form, any form of radical Islamic terrorism, that's targeted at us or allies is one that we stand firm on. Those are still lingering problems even in that part of the world," he said.
