"Confederation of Indian Industry has formed a special task force on Tamil Nadu Flood Relief and Rehabilitation. CII pledges its support to the government and will work in tandem with the government as it has done earlier," CII said in a release.
CII and its member companies have reached out to about 70,000 rain affected families in Chennai and suburbs with relief materials in the last six days.
"The recent natural calamity affecting lakhs of people is extremely unfortunate. CII would like to express its condolences to the families of those who have lost their members," CII's ex-President and Chairman of Special Task Force, R Seshasayee said.
