The 32-year-old "X Factor" judge has told her friends about the trouble in her paradise, but says she does not want a split, reported Mirror.
Rumours of friction in her 18-month marriage to the French restaurateur started making news last week.
"Things are not as bad as may have been said, but it's obviously been quite a testing time. There have been ups and downs, but Cheryl is a fighter. Once the show finishes she's hoping there will be time to reflect on everything and do whatever they decide is right over Christmas," a source said.
Cheryl and Jean-Bernard, 33, tied the knot in July 2014.
