Nayab Tehsildar at Ramanujganj, Uday Raj Singh, was caught red-handed while taking money from Naresh Rajwade at his residence, they said.
According to ACB, Rajwade had approached Singh to rectify an administrative error in which land owned by him was shown as government land in the revenue records.
However, Singh asked the complainant to shell out Rs five lakh to get his work done, following which Rajwade approached the agency.
Meanwhile, Singh agreed to lower the bribe amount by Rs one lakh, and asked Rajwade to pay the cash in instalments.
Accordingly, Rajwade went to Singh's house at Ramanujganj and handed him over the first instalment of Rs one lakh. After Singh took money, the ACB team arrested him and recovered the amount.
Singh has been booked under various sections of Anti- Corruption Act, the ACB said.
