Red chilli and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 7,400-12,400 and Rs 9,200-13,800 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stocks, mainly pulled down chilli and turmeric prices.
Following are today's quotations:
Ajwain (per kg) 175-220, black pepper (per kg) 750-950, betel-nut (kg) 280-330, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,725-1,745 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,825-1,925.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 820-890, cardamom (colour robin) 760-800, cardamom bold 790-850, cardamom extra (bold) 1,000-1,030 and cloves 800-900.
