Union Minister K Chirajeevi accidentally fell into flood waters while he was on a visit to rain-hit areas of East Godavari district today.
A video clip aired on local news channels showed the filmstar-turned-politician losing balance and falling into flood waters while trying to get into a boat in Anjaneya Nagar in Kakinada.
Security personnel came to his rescue and pulled him out of the water. Andhra Pradesh Minister Thota Narasimham and local MLA Kothapalli Subba Rao were with him.
Chirajeevi later went to Anaparthy MLA Sesha Reddy's house where he took rest and left for Visakhapatnam.
