Choreographer and singer Ganesh Hegde is soon going to don the director's hat as he prepares for his debut Bollywood release.
Hegde, who has choreographed popular dance numbers like - "Babuji zara dheere chalo", "Khallas" and "Chammak challo" - said his film is going to be an 'entertaining' one and it is not a dance film.
"I am working on the film for three years. It is near completion. Hopefully by this year end, we will go on floors. It's an entertaining film. I believe in emotions, relations.. it is going to be a different film," Hegde told PTI.
The choreographer, who had come up with his debut album "G" in 2005, will be next seen as judge on popular dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa", alongside filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Shahid Kapoor.
"It is not a dance film. I think you should not do what you already know.. You should show other sides as well," Hegde said.
Hegde has earlier rapped the promo song of famed gameshow "Kaun Banega Crorepati" for its third season and his stint as judge include, dance show "Kabhi Kabhii Pyaar Kabhi Kabhii Yaar" in 2008 and musical talent show "Fame X".
"I have done two reality shows earlier, and I was not keen on doing more. I find it boring. But Raj Nayak from Colors (channel) told me that this show is different and I will come across as an entertainer," he said.
Hegde said he has not followed any other entertainment reality shows before as he finds them repetitive and quite boring.
"I had been on the show ('Jhalak..') last year during the semi-final round as it was Ganesh Hegde special. And I had performed and choreographed five other dancers. They liked my job," he added.
