Chowrasia to tee off at Regional qualifiers of Corporate Golf

Two-time European Tour winner SSP Chowrasia will be among the city's top golfers, who will take part in the regional qualifiers of the 14th edition of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge, here.
The regional challengers will tee off at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club on January 11 for a spot in the national finals of the World Corporate Golf Challenge to be held in Malaysia in May 2014.
Nearly 100 golfers will compete in the one day event, representing different teams and the top two sides will book their berth in the national finals, where they will match their skills with 12 other teams from other cities for the opportunity to represent India at the World Finals.

The World Finals will be held in Sotogrande, Spain from July 1-6.
There will also be "Beat the Pro" contest on 13th hole in which each player will try to beat SSP Chowrasia by hitting the ball closest to the pin.
Now in its 14th edition in India, the tournament is country's only official qualifying event for the World Corporate Golf Challenge.
The first regional qualifiers were held in Bangalore, the second qualifiers happened at Aamby Valley Golf Course, Lonavala followed by qualifiers at Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Kolkata on January 11, and will conclude with qualifiers at Jaypee Greens Golf Resort, Greater Noida on January 24-25.
