The CID has submitted a charge sheet in the case relating to Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal's hate speech last year threatening CPI-M workers and their family members, a highly-placed CID official today said.
The charge sheet was submitted at the Nadia district court at Krishnagar on May 26, the official said.
In September, last year, the Calcutta High Court had upheld Justice Dipankar Datta's order directing a CID probe into the MP's speech in which he asked party workers to kill CPI-M activists and threatened to unleash his boys to rape their women.
Pal's remarks had caused a nationwide outrage.
