Ghansoli Node in Navi Mumbai has been transferred to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) from Cidco, which will henceforth be responsible for its development and maintenance.
The transfer agreement was signed today between Cidco VC & MD Bhushan Gagrani and NMMC Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe at Cidco office in Belapur.
"The procedure was pending since long and after a detailed discussion this decision was finally taken with a mutual consent," Gangrani said.
Mundhe said the planning and development of remaining sectors in Ghansoli will be completed by the next budget.
As per the agreement dated November 30, 2007, Airoli, Koparkhairane, Vashi, Turbhe, Sanpada and CBD Belapur nodes in Navi Mumbai were to be handed over to NMMC.
