Circulation of 'objectionable' message creates tension in

Tension prevailed in the district tonight after an 'objectionable' message against a community was allegedly being circulated on a social networking app but immediate action from police and district administration brought the situation under control.
Protesting against circulation of the message, people belonging to a particular community also reportedly gheraoed a police station in Nagphani.
Top officials including DM, SSP and DIG, reached the spot and informed the agitators that an FIR has been lodged against the alleged sender of the message and very soon, the culprits will be caught.
Later, the crowd dispersed.
SP Prabal Pratap Singh said that heavy force has been deployed in various areas and the situation is now under control.

District Magistrate Deepak Agarwal said, "We dont know from where the message came and it may be from abroad. To disclose the matter, it will take time and we have deputed an IT specialist team to trace the message.
