CJI releases first weekly part of SC Reports for 2015

The Supreme Court today took a fresh initiative to come out with a journal of its judgements, with the Chief Justice of India releasing the first weekly issue under the title Supreme Court Reports (SCR) for 2015.
While releasing the journal, the CJI said that emphasis has been given to increase the promptness of publishing the journal to ensure it comes out quickly and timely.
He said that several initiatives has been taken to make the journal more user friendly, including an International Standard Serial Number to facilitate global use.
A release issued by Supreme Court's deputy registrar said SCR is the only law journal where the head-notes are approved by the judges themselves who deliver the judgement.

CJI also released the Supreme Court Museum brochure, saying that a number of artefacts and historic judgements from various High Courts and remote district courts were being brought for display in the museum.
