A clash erupted between two groups of supporters of PDP and Congress when some Congress workers attacked the house of a PDP activist, alleging that he was distributing cash to voters to lure them to vote in favour of PDP candidate.
"They (Congress supporters) pelted stones on the house of a PDP supporter. We intervened and found that the allegations of cash distribution was not true," a senior police officer said.
The officer said that the police recovered an amount of Rs 23,000 from the PDP supporter.
"This was the amount meant for his (PDP supporter) personal use and was not sufficient for distribution as claimed by Congress supporters," the officer said.
The Doda assembly constituency is scheduled to go for polls tomorrow.
Soti village in Gandoh belt is the native village of senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad.
