Class 10th student raped by tuition teacher

A class 10th student was raped allegedly by her tuition teacher, following which he has been arrested today, police said.
According to a complaint lodged by the girl, the accused, identified as Pankaj Arora, was a private tuition teacher, Parmjit Singh Pannu, Additional DCP, Ludhiana said, adding, he coaxed the girl into seeking coaching from him on the pretext of getting good marks in the examination.
Arora later raped her and also prepared an objectionable video film, following which he started blackmailing her, Pannu said.
He also hurled sexual abuses at her, he said.
The accused was arrested today under charges of rape and sexual harassment after the girl's medical examination confirmed rape, Pannu said.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped and blackmailed by five persons in Pathankot.

Pathankot SSP, Rakesh Koushal said that Varun Kumar and Arjun were arrested by local police today in connection with the incident.
The medical examination of the girl which was conducted at Civil hospital Pathankot today confirmed that the victim had been raped.
The accused were friends with the victim, who is a student of Class 8 in Pathankot.
The accused also clicked objectionable videos of the victim and threatened her to bring gold and other valuable articles from her house.
The matter was reported to the police by the father of the victim, police said, adding, the accused were absconding.
