Seventeen-year-old Ayush Rawat was attacked by a group of boys the moment he came out of his school with a knife, Dalanwala police station sub-inspector Kamal Kumar Lunthi said.
Rawat sustained injury on his hand and began to bleed. The accused fled after passersby gathered at the spot.
The injured boy was rushed to a government hospital where he is under treatment, Lunthi said.
Prima facie it seems Rawat was assaulted due to earlier dispute between him and the boys, the sub-inspector said.
