Udit Kumar, a Class 12 student, yesterday shot himself in his room as he was allegedly depressed over his preparation for exams, SHO of Kotwali police station Sanjiv Sharma said.
He was rushed to the district hospital where he declared dead, the police officer said, adding an investigation is underway in the matter.
