Ten-year-old Suhana Barar, on a visit to the city along with her schoolmates and some teacher, was strolling on the Mall Road with some friends. But when her friends returned to their group, Suhana was found missing, police said.
The group of 44 students had been camping at Himri near Kufri on the outskirts of Shimla for the past five days, police said.
"We have launched a massive manhunt, sounded an alert, laid nakas, informed all the police stations and at present the entire Shimla police are searching for the girl," Deputy Superintendent of Police B Negi said.
