Clerk held for accepting bribe of Rs 50,000

A Shirastedar (clerk), posted in the office of sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) of Faizpur in Jalgaon district, was today arrested by ACB for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 50,000.
The shirastedar, identified as Manoj Sapkale, had allegedly sought bribe from the complainant to expedite his proposal for changing title of his agricultural land into non-agricultural one, the ACB said in a release.
The ACB laid a trap and caught Sapkale red-handed while accepting the cash in an open place in front of the SDM office, the release added.
