Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today congratulated two Commonwealth Games medal winners hailing from the state -- shooter Anjum Moudgil and lifter Vikas Thakur.
The chief minister called up Moudgil, who bagged silver in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions event.
He said, "This is a remarkable achievement and she has brought laurels to the country and the state. The people of the state are proud of her achievement. I wished her more success and expressed hope that she will perform even better in the international events in the years to come.
The chief minister also congratulated weightlifter Vikas Thakur for winning bronze in the 94kg category.
He said the lifter would certainly be an inspiration for the young generation.
