Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Union Coal Secretary Anil Swarup today said 'passion' and 'energy' propelled it on the path of growth.
"The growth that the company achieved in recent years would have not been possible without passion and energy, which is required for any good work," a CCL release said quoting Swarup.
Elaborating the unprecedented growth in coal production, dispatch, OB removal and various welfare activities, CCL CMD Gopal Singh said till 2012-13 the company had faced stagnant growth with "production of 50 MT was a distant dream".
But, he added, the CCL crossed the target of 50 MT of coal production for the first time in 2013/14 and then the company kept up the momentum and achieved double digit growth in the past two years, producing 61.35 MT more than its target of 60.6 MT, the release said.
