Coffee Day Enterprises Q1 net profit at Rs 11.40 crore

Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd, which runs the popular Cafe Coffee Day chain, today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 11.40 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 78.31 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Consolidated net sales went up by 20.56 per cent to Rs 720.38 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 597.49 crore in the corresponding quarter in the year-ago period, Coffee Day Enterprises said in a BSE filing.
Expenses during the quarter was up 19.27 per cent to Rs 672.68 crore, as against Rs 563.99 crore.

Shares of Coffee Day Enterprises today settled at Rs 238 on BSE, up 0.49 per cent from previous close.
