Cold conditions prevail in Pb, Haryana; Narnaul shivers at 3

Cold conditions today prevailed in Punjab and Haryana even as minimum temperatures hovered a few notches above normal level in most parts of both states.
Narnaul in Haryana was the coldest place in both states as it recorded its minimum at 3 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, a MeT department report said.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, braved cold weather at 10.8 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal.
In Haryana, minimum temperatures in Ambala and Hisar settled at 10.4 degrees Celsius and 4.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar had its low at 6.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal while minimum in Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 8.3 degrees Celsius and 8.1 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The MeT department in its forecast said weather is likely to remain dry, and moderate to dense fog is likely to occur at some places in Punjab and Haryana in the next 24 hours.
